22 East Mifflin

Madison, Wisconsin

This new building in downtown Madison is a ten story, concrete frame office and commercial structure to be clad in warm-tone limestone, used in conjunction with an insulating glass which is a light aqua color. The main facade features vertically proportioned bay windows which are an updated version of those found typically on 19th century buildings and lend to the facade a sense of depth and richness. The main entry faces Capitol Square and allows ground floor retail tenants to have separate minor entries along this facade. In addition to the ten stories above grade, there are 2 lower levels, the lowest of which is reserved for tenant parking. This parking level is connected directly to the existing parking structure to the north, making use of existing entries, exits and security features.
