UCLA Medical Office Building
Los Angeles, CaliforniaThe UCLA Medical Office Building (MOB) is the first facility of its kind to be privately developed and operated on a campus of the University of California. The building can accommodate approximately 100 physicians. This concentration of medical practices, coupled with the various UCLA facilities creates a very special environment for both medical professionals and patients. The seven-story L-shaped building, directly adjacent to the UCLA Medical Center, provides a column-free layout for maximum design utility, state-of-the-art security system and computerized HVAC, life safety and building management systems. The buildings are interconnected beneath an open plaza. The building includes its own independently operated pharmacy and laboratory, a coffee shop, gift shop and health care supply center. The MOB has dedicated parking for the physicians, staff and patients conveniently located beneath the building with a drop-off service on two levels. The UCLA MOB received an Urban Beautification Award from the Los Angeles Business Council.
