ADC Telecommunications World Headquarters
Eden Prairie, MinnesotaADC Corporate World Headquarters is located on 90 acres of rolling land in Eden Prairie Minnesota. ADC has become a global company and charged HGA with providing for them both the master planning of their new corporate campus and a corporate headquarters that has become the focus of their international industry. ADC incorporates all aspects of their business on this site including: Manufacturing; corporate offices; training center; and a research and development facility. The master planning calls for a total of 1,200,000 square feet of facilities with a first phase of approximately 500,000 square feet. The first phase is now complete. The site has spectacular views over natural wetlands and one of the primary goals for the campus is to take advantage of this amenity, giving the employees views from their workstations and providing them with paths and walks to take full advantage of the acreage. The building utilizes the harvesting of daylight through skylights, central and edge atriums, a raised floor air distribution system with personal energy modules and highly efficient lighting and mechanical systems. The building was recently awarded the 2002 First Place Technology Award from Minnesota ASHRAE and the Regional ASHRAE association for new commercial buildings due to its innovative, efficient and effective energy and technology systems design.
