Artspace Live/Work Artists' Housing
Mount Rainier, MarylandWorking with an arts development organization, HGA is designing three Artists' Live/Work Housing projects - one each for the cities of Mount Rainier, Brentwood and Hyattsville in Prince George's County. As part of an Arts District Master Plan developed by the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, the three projects provide artists with affordable, flexible space large enough for living and working. Through a combination of lofts and flats each unit is 50%25 larger than typical affordable housing units.
The Mount Rainier project, shown here, includes 44 housing units along with 10,000 SF of commercial space for arts organizations that is located at grade level.
