Cabrillo College, Visual and Performing Arts Instructional Facility

HGA is designing Cabrillo's 135,000 sf Visual and Performing Arts Instructional Facility. Combining music, art studio, art history and theater arts, the building will offer the full range of the visual and performing arts. Studios will include a ceramics lab, drawing and painting studios, sculpture and metals studios, and acting and movement spaces. A 550-seat theater will be designed for theatrical performances and large-scale musical productions, a 300-seat recital hall and a smaller 200-seat black box theater will offer flexible space for experimental theater productions. The Instructional Facility will open in Fall 2008.
