Carson-Tahoe Hospital Cancer Center
Carson City, NevadaHGA created a comprehensive space program, floor plans and conceptual exterior design for the Carson-Tahoe Cancer Center, the only freestanding, accredited cancer center in Nevada. The $10 million, 35,000-square-foot facility includes radiation oncology with two linear accelerators, medical oncology with 20 positions for chemotherapy/ infusion, and alternative therapies. The design focuses on hospitality and nature while offering as many treatment services as possible in one place. Views of Eagle Valley, a rooftop terrace, signature pergolas and native stone façades further emphasize a healing environment that helps ease stress during taxing visits. In addition to its homey environment and up-to-date technology, the Cancer Center offers an award-winning Cancer Resource Center, which empowers patients to be active participants in their care.
