East Texas Medical Center Pittsburg Healthcare Campus
Pittsburg, TexasThe ETMC Pittsburg Campus consists of a new 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, rural health clinics, and a free-standing outpatient physical-therapy and fitness center. The building includes a main public entry and lobby for both the hospital and clinic, defined by the tall glass form and cantilevered hip roof that extends forward to rest on large round columns. Two smaller but similar forms flank the main entry and serve as discrete entries for the emergency department and the administrative/ conference areas. Together, the three forms project an image of teamwork, representing the nature of the integrated hospital and clinic functions inside. Estimated completion is November 2009.
