General Mills Bassett Creek Building
Golden Valley, MinnesotaHGA provided a flexible expansion space for the General Mills Headquarters main campus while creating a more informal, interactive and collaborative work environment. Winner of numerous design awards, the General Mills Bassett Creek Building is organized with core elements located at the perimeter to provide a clear open office area on both floors for ultimate flexibility in assembling work teams. The office block is designed with a glass curtainwall that maximizes natural light for the employee through 8' - 0" high vision glass. Located at the perimeter of the building the stairs not only provide an open connection between the two floors but will also provide a physical connection to the natural beauty of the site for employees as they move between levels. A variety of worksettings are provided in the open office environment to promote interaction, teaming and collaborative activities.
