Minneapolis, MinnesotaAs part of an ongoing successful relationship with Hennepin County Medical Center, HGA completed an inpatient remodeling of floor R5 in this large academic medical center.
The R5 Observation %26 Recovery Unit is a 15-bed, 5,000 SF observation unit with private rooms and semi-private bathrooms. Two shower rooms were also included, as well as a waiting area, report lounge, staff locker room and a central nursing unit that is accessible from both sides of the racetrack layout.
Patients are observed in the unit until it is determined if inpatient admission is necessary. The length of stay for patients in the observation %26 recovery unit is generally less than 24 hours.
