Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church
Minneapolis, MinnesotaThe first new construction at the complex since the addition of the education wing represents a young, progressive, growing congregation that is looking forward. This project creates a new monumental entry for congregants arriving by car. The new 3000 square foot entrance provides a place for the congregation to mingle before and after services. The side doors open up onto a plaza (to be developed in a future phase of construction) that will be used for socials, wedding receptions and other aspects of fellowship. This space supports the congregation's value of creating a strong sense of community. The project also provides elevator access to all floors, connecting the entire education wing, the youth fellowship room, classrooms and a choir room to the main fellowship/worship level.
