Hudson Hospital and Clinic
Hudson, WisconsinHGA planned and designed Hudson Hospital and Clinic to replace and expand existing hospital facilities, as well as to add a three-level outpatient clinic. Being 20 miles from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, administrators at Hudson Hospital felt a growing need to stay competitive. Completed in 2003, the new facilities position Hudson Hospital and Clinic to provide a superior level of care to Hudson and surrounding communities. HGA designed the hospital to accommodate seamlessly both vertical and horizontal expansion. All patient rooms are private in the 24-bed replacement hospital. Each room has ample space to accommodate family members (even overnight) and a plethora of medical equipment. HGA also designed expanded surgery suites and a stationary MRI unit to keep up with the nearby Twin Cities. Adjacent to the patient wing the design team created a Scandinavian-inspired winter garden. Healing gardens, a labyrinth and walking paths complete the peaceful grounds.
