Mayo Clinic, Center for Advanced Imaging Research
Rochester, MinnesotaThis flexible, 30,700-aquare-foot Center for Advanced Imaging Research for the Mayo Clinic consists of a two-story research facility that replaces the current MRI Research Facility located on adjacent property to the north. The Center conducts research in various modalities of medical imaging, MRI, CT, and ultrasound. Primary imaging functions are located on the 1st floor, and office and laboratory functions are located on the 2nd floor. The bulk of the 1st floor is slab-on-grade, allowing cost-effective vibration isolation for the imaging equipment. Two partial sub-grade levels allow connections to anticipated expansion to the north and connection to future subway level tunnels.
