Denny Sanford Pediatric Center at Mayo Clinic exemplifies the depth of Mayo's commitment to providing the highest quality, coordinated care to the more than 45,000 children who come to Mayo each year. The Pediatric Center combines nearly all of Mayo's Pediatric services, providing a one-stop shop for children and their families. Centered on the belief that nature provides a soothing environment which promotes healing, HGA's design depicts natural elements from Minnesota's four biomes-wetlands, forests, lakes and prairies. The idea behind the Pediatric Center nature theme is to encourage kids to take care of themselves and to take care of the earth. The four "neighborhoods," from the elevator lobby through to the actual patient exam room wall finishes, create a consistent natural theme throughout the Center.
