Meriter Hospital
Madison, WisconsinHGA developed and implemented a Master Facility Plan for an integrated campus, bringing together Physicians Plus Medical Group/UW Health and Meriter Hospital into an acute and ambulatory care campus. The goal was to provide a consolidation of outpatient services adjacent to the hospital site. Three major projects were completed at Meriter Hospital. Two existing Clinical facilities were completely renovated, and the larger of these received a 100,000 sf addition. The clinical buildings, part of the Physician's Plus Medical Group, were consolidated to include improved and expanded facilities. The larger of the two clinical buildings was renovated and expanded for ambulatory surgery and the following clinical departments: Orthopedics, Rheumatology, Urology, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Allergy, ENT, Audiology and Dermatology and support services. By consolidating services now dispersed among other buildings, the facility expansion will maximize operational efficiency. Clinic and diagnostic functions will be housed together to provide easy access and patient movement will be minimized.
