San Jacinto, CaliforniaThis Learning Resource Center is designed to meet the needs of the current student population of the college, and yet flexible enough to handle future growth. The building serves as the gateway to the Menifee Valley Campus while providing sheltered exterior gathering spaces that allow students and the community to enjoy the outdoor environment.
The two-story structure includes several large multipurpose computer classrooms, faculty offices, a library and a sophisticated multi-media space for video conferencing and distance learning. In addition, wireless Internet access is available throughout the building.
The building was also designed to be a responsible structure in the local environment by encompassing passive cooling and daylighting strategies to take advantage of the high desert climate of Southern California.
