Orpheum Theatre
Minneapolis, MinnesotaPart of a downtown revitalization effort, the renovation of the 2,650 seat theater makes it one of the most versatile performing arts halls in the nation. The renovation and expansion of the historic Orpheum Theater provide enough space and state-of-the-art technical systems to accommodate the most ambitious Broadway hits, dance productions and full orchestras. The expansion included the construction of new dressing rooms, loading dock, and support facilities; a renovated and expanded stage and orchestra pit; a new marquee and flag sign; new ticket booth, seats, and restrooms. The renovation included recovery of existing ornamental plaster and terra cotta; an extensive recreation of historical decorative paints and finishes; and greatly improved mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
