Silicon Graphics, Inc.
Mountainview, CaliforniaSilicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI) supplies high technology computing, storage and visualization capabilities to some of today's most innovative organizations. In order to stay competitive in an extremely challenging market, SGI reorganized their real estate objectives to give them maximum flexibility. At the center of this effort was the relocation of their World Headquarters to more flexible lease space. HGA worked with SGI in developing an overarching strategy for this move beginning with new workplace guidelines that include standards for support space, furniture systems, technology and materials. Integral to the implementation of this strategy was the communication of a cohesive SGI brand that continued an informal culture of creativity and innovation while enabling them with more efficient and more flexible space. HGA planned and designed over 200,000 sf of new work space to accommodate this transition. SGI has a critical need to convey its culture of innovation to clients and guests. The Customer Briefing Center is their showcase for SGI technology with a state-of-the-art 3D visualization theater as its centerpiece. HGA created a low-tech, comfortable environment for the CBC that compliments the technology within while imbedding a strong sense of the SGI brand.
