SSM Health Care, Saint Joseph Replacement Hospital
Saint Louis, MissouriThis $215 million replacement facility being built near St. Louis, Missouri will house 158 inpatient care beds, an 85,000 SF medical office building, a 75,000 SF ambulatory care center and a parking deck. The campus is being designed to create a new type of healthcare experience, promoting a caring, healing environment that delivers service excellence for both outpatient and inpatient services. Using a Work Process Improvement (WPI) method to achieve a balance between patient demand and available resources, decisions and information flow will come through an organizational structure comprised of four teams: Leadership, Experience, Transformation and Design. The process began with three workshops that engaged eight experience teams to create an environment that would foster the best patient experience for the new facility. The new campus is scheduled to open in September 2008.
