SSM Health Care, Saint Clare Health Center

Saint Clare Health Center replacement facility, on a greenfield site near St Louis, will house 158 inpatient beds, a medical office building, ambulatory care center and a parking deck. The buildings are structured with a composite beam with concrete slab system and range in height from two to six stories. The lateral force resisting system is comprised of steel braced frames, steel moment frames and reinforced concrete shear walls. This project is located in a moderate seismic zone, so the structural components were designed and detailed for seismic requirements. Estimated completion is October 2008.
