Saint Clare's Hospital Telecommunications
Weston, WisconsinMinistry health Care and Marshfield Clinic are joint venture partners in building Saint Clare's Hospital Ministry Regional Medical Center, a 55.8 acre integrated health campus in Weston, near Wausau. Advanced telecommunications and information technology (IT)are leveraged throughout Saint Clare's to enhance virtually every aspect of its operations. Working closely with the hospital's in-house IT group, HGA studied the short- and long-term needs of each department in the areas of voice, data and video communications, as well as security and building automation. HGA also collaborated with the in-house team to write specifications, evaluate bids and make vendor selections. Saint Clare's now features a unified telecom infrastructure that incorporates integrated cabling and a wireless local area network. Patient needs are more rapidly met by integrating wireless phones into the hospital's nurse call system. Safety and security for infants, seniors and employees - as well as control of sensitive departments like patient records and pharmaceuticals storage - are enhance by networked cameras, electronic key cares and other security devices. Saint Clare's all digital environment helps the hospital achieve its goals of better patient care, higher productivity and reduced costs.
