Saint Elizabeth Hospital

St. Elizabeth's is a 107 year old hospital nestled in the midst of an established residential area to the south of Appleton's vibrant downtown. The design challenge was to improve access and wayfinding from the entrance to registration and beyond. This was done in part through a single entry and clear signage, and for the purpose of reducing patient stress levels. The hospital experience should connect the user, both consciously and sub-consciously, to the qualities and attributes that are valued and familiar to the community. Emphasis was based on sustainability and holistic practices. The hospital is a Pebble Partner.
