Saint John Neumann Church

HGA provided St. John Neumann in St. Charles, Illinois with the addition of a small (200 person chapel), a bell tower, and a new worship space for 1400 people. The central axis of the new worship space is a continuation of the central axis of the existing worship space, which will become the parish hall. The new worship space structured with pairs of masonry columns which define the side aisles and support exposed glue-laminated roof trusses. The volume of the roof is capped by a clerestory lantern which permits light into the worship space and from the exterior has a dramatic glowing effect.
