State of Minnesota Capitol Interior Restoration
Saint Paul, MinnesotaHGA is working in partnership with Schooley Caldwell Associates to plan and implement a phased restoration of the Minnesota State Capitol to upgrade building infrastructure, security requirements, and code compliance. Renovation and restoration includes expanding space to establish secure infrastructure, additional office space, a new tunnel connection, a 500-seat multi-purpose auditorium, a new visitor entry, and a relocated Aurora Avenue. New work space created during Step One will then serve as "swing space" for Capitol tenants disrupted during Step Two work, which will include comprehensive restoration of the existing Capitol building and full utilization of the expanded space. Estimated completion of phased implementation is 2015.
