University of California-Davis Medical Center, The M.I.N.D. Institute

Colorful wall art adorns the M.I.N.D. Institute, which is dedicated to helping children and adults with autism and other neurological developmental disorders. The project's eight-acre campus includes a 72,338 square-foot building for the outpatient clinic, food services and resource center/library, and a 27,270 square-foot building for the research laboratory and offices for research faculty and staff. The facilities provide children with handsome, residential-style interiors where comfortable furnishings in warm beige and brown tones create a peaceful, home-like setting.
