University of Minnesota, Science Teaching and Student Services Center
Minneapolis, MinnesotaOverlooking the Mississippi River Valley at a busy campus cross-axis, this innovative building revolutionizes teaching and learning by fostering an interactive, student-centered learning experience in Active Learning Classrooms. The classrooms feature round tables seating nine students in teams of three. Groups use laptop connectivity to access and exchange information. A center teaching station allows the instructor to select and display table-specific information on multiple flat-panel display and large-format projection systems. The building also consolidates the university's academic services with student transactional services in an accessible Services Center.
HGA is working in partnership with Kohn Pedersen Fox.
