Madison, WisconsinThe University of Wisconsin's School of Education Building is beautifully sited between Lake Mendota and the universities historic Bascom Mall on the Madison campus. The project includes renovating and restoring the existing six-story Beaux Arts structure, adding a new 35,000 SF wing for teaching and office space, creating a light-filled, two-story Commons with views to the lake, and upgrading mechanical systems. The building will house administration, student services, teaching and research facilities, and office spaces for four academic departments. The exterior facade, along with the entrance lobby and grand wood staircase, will be restored to its original detail.
Estimated completion is Fall 2010.
