HGA Architects and Engineers Wins AIA Honor Award

Los Angeles, CA - The Los Angeles office of HGA Architects and Engineers has received an Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects' Inland California chapter for its work on the new Physical Sciences 1 building at the University of California's Riverside campus. The building was the only project accorded an Honor Award for 2005. The AIA Honor Awards program recognizes architectural excellence and honors the clients and architects that make such buildings possible. The awards jury commented, "We were impressed by the deft handling of a complex, multi-story internal program. The classic exterior detailing utilizes a cohesive palette evoking a timeless, restrained facade." The Physical Sciences 1 building project, completed in 2005, was an association of HGA Architects and Engineers and Kallmann McKinnell %26 Wood Architects (KMW) of Boston. HGA served as executive architect; KMW provided design services. :: University of California-Riverside Physical Sciences 1
