HGA Architects and Engineers Promotes Eric Chang to Senior Associate

Los Angeles, CA - HGA Architects and Engineers has promoted project manager Eric Chang, LEEDŽ AP, to senior associate. Chang brings more than 13 years of experience working on higher education, community college, commercial and international projects to his new position. Throughout his 11-year career with HGA, he has worked on a number of award-winning projects, including UC Riverside's Physical Sciences Building, the Student Center/Bookstore and Dining Building at California State University, Los Angeles and Chaffey College's Visual, Performing and Communication Arts Complex. Other key projects include An Sinh Hospital in Saigon, East Los Angeles College's Math and Science Complex and El Camino College's Science Complex renovation. "Eric's background in project management, project programming, construction documentation and construction administration is a great asset to our education and commercial clients," said Stan Chiu, AIA, vice president and design principal in the firm's Los Angeles office. "He really understands design, planning and complex building issues. Since he joined our firm, he has successfully leveraged his relationships with state and local review agencies, including DSA, to expedite the approval process for on-time, on-budget project delivery of several complex projects. We are fortunate to have him on our team." Chang holds a bachelor's degree in architecture degree from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo and a master's degree in design studies from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. He is a LEEDŽ Accredited Professional.
