HGA Architects and Engineers Promotes Two to Vice President

Sacramento, CA - HGA Architects and Engineers (HGA) has promoted principals David W. Dailey, AIA, and William L. Duckworth, AIA, to vice president. Based in the Sacramento, Calif. office, both architects focus on the design of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics and medical office buildings. During Dailey's 24 years with HGA, he has honed his methods of planning, programming, design and project management. He has comprehensive knowledge of the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) regulations, and is skilled at building collaboration between project team members and the client to improve processes. Dailey has been involved in the planning and design of numerous healthcare and design build facilities throughout California, working with clients such as G. L. Bruno and Associates Inc., St. Joseph Health System, Tenet Health, Fresno Community Hospital, Children's Hospital Central California in Madera and the Lake County Tribal Health Consortium in Lakeport. A member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Dailey is a registered architect in California. With more than 35 years of healthcare design experience, Duckworth brings his background in master planning, design, programming and project management to each project. He focuses on creating efficient facilities with lasting value, as well as developing innovative solutions for the environment, patient flow, staff convenience, technology and project constructability. Duckworth specializes in successfully balancing the specific expertise of each individual to generate the perfect match between project team and client to meet their objectives. Duckworth's recent portfolio comprises large- and small-scale projects for healthcare providers such as Kaiser Permanente, Catholic Healthcare West, the Department of Veterans Affairs and Psychiatric Solutions. He recently oversaw the design and completion of Carson Tahoe Cancer Center in Carson City, Nev., which is Nevada's only freestanding cancer center fully accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Duckworth is a registered architect in California, Idaho, Missouri, Nebraska and Nevada, and is a member of the AIA.
