HGA Architects and Engineers Announces Promotions in Minneapolis Office

Minneapolis, MN - HGA Architects and Engineers (HGA) has announced the promotion of six employees to Vice President and Associate Vice President in its Minneapolis office. Promoted to Associate Vice President: Healthcare Practice Group Architect Amy Douma, AIA, has focused on healthcare planning and design since joining HGA in 1997. Balancing conceptual planning skills with attention to detail, Amy has worked on a number of major HGA projects, including new hospitals, ambulatory-care centers, and replacement facilities. She holds a Master Degree in Design Studies from the Graduate School of Design, Harvard University. Civil Engineering Civil engineer Erik Hansen, PE, designs civil infrastructure for major projects that affect the larger urban context. His work includes streets, dock areas and parking facilities, among other civil projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota. Interior Design Interior designer Rand Liedl, CID, brings more than 25 years interior design experience to HGA's clients. Working on the Healthcare Practice Group's Interior Design team since joining HGA in 1999, Rand designs healthcare spaces that are both beautiful and soothing. He holds an interior design degree from the University of Wisconsin'Stout. Science %26 Technology Practice Group Debra Young, AIA, is a LEED accredited professional who has provided management and architectural leadership for a wide range of projects, including numerous military facilities for the Federal government. She holds a Bachelor of Science in architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. Promoted to Vice President: Legal and Personnel Clare Tande is in-house legal counsel responsible for contract negotiation and risk management. She holds a J.D. from Duke University Law School. Healthcare Practice Group Architect Dennis Vonasek, AIA, CID, has diverse leadership experience as a principal, project manager and designer in HGA’s Healthcare Practice Group. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts and Environmental Design from North Dakota State University. The promotions recognize the sizable contributions each has made to HGA's growth as a leading national design firm.
