HGA Architects and Engineers Promotes Four in Sacramento Office to Associate
Sacramento, CA - HGA Architects and Engineers, a full-service architecture, engineering and planning firm, has promoted four team members to associate. Heloisa Botelho, LEEDŽ AP, Tim Duffy, AIA, LEEDŽ AP, Edith Jeong and Dang Nguyen are all based in the firm's Sacramento office, where they work on higher education and healthcare projects.
As a project designer, Botelho is responsible for maintaining strong client communication throughout the entire design and development process. With 14 years of architectural experience, Botelho specializes in designing multi-phase projects for healthcare, commercial and residential facilities. Her current work includes Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Office Building, Phase One Renovation; Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Hospital Infill and MRI Remodel; as well as the Catholic Healthcare West, Methodist Emergency Department and Trauma Center expansion. Prior to joining HGA in 2001, Botelho graduated from the University of Belas Artes in Brazil with a bachelor's degree in architecture and urbanism.
Duffy is a project architect with nine years of experience in design and building for the healthcare industry. During his six years with HGA, he has been responsible for providing detailed drawings and building documentation, construction administration, submittals and change orders, as well as scheduling client meetings and providing building progress reports. He currently serves as a project architect for the campus expansion of Clovis Community Medical Center in Clovis, Calif. Duffy graduated from the California College of Arts and Crafts in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in architecture.
Jeong has nine years of experience designing for high-tech and biotechnology corporations, including clean room laboratories, semi-conductive and pharmaceutical companies, cafeterias and restaurants. Jeong's project experience includes the completion of a chip manufacturing company's campus in Livermore, Calif. and a LEEDŽ -CI Gold Certified project in Redwood City, Calif. Currently, she mentors young professionals through her project work on the Clovis Community Medical Center. Jeong holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Design associate Nguyen joined the company in 2006, but has 10 years of total experience in healthcare and hospitality design. He has been a key team member for the Clovis Community Medical Center's master plan, as well as a phased theater renovation at American River College in Sacramento. Nguyen earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from Lawrence Technological University and a master's of architecture from the University of Michigan.
