Hammel, Green and Abrahamson, Inc. Recognized as a Supporter of Engineering Society
Saint Paul, MN - The engineering and architectural firm of Hammel, Green and Abrahamson, Inc. (HGA) has been recognized as a silver level sustaining firm of the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE), the only engineering society that serves as an advocate and resource for licensed Professional Engineers (PEs) across all disciplines in Minnesota. Sustaining firms help support MSPE's programs and activities that benefit the entire engineering community.
HGA is one of 30 engineering companies participating in MSPE's sustaining firm program for 2006-2007. "Our sustaining firms help make MSPE's outreach programs possible," said Mary Detloff, MSPE executive director. "Without their support, it is very likely that MSPE would be forced to scale back or even discontinue some of these programs."
Examples of some of the programs sustaining firms like HGA help support include:
- Promotion of and education about professional licensure to engineering students
- Supporting engineers in their efforts to become licensed PEs by providing lunch to those taking the PE exam and recognizing newly licensed professional engineers in Minnesota
- Hosting MSPE-sponsored continuing education programs for licensed PEs, allowing MSPE to offer FREE continuing education to our members and helping MSPE to keep expenses low
- Financially supporting MSPE student chapters at ABET-accredited universities in the Twin Cities, Duluth and Mankato
