HGA Architects and Engineers Adds Two Associates
Sacramento, CA - Gregory S. Bucher, AIA, and Teague Ho have joined the Sacramento, Calif., office of HGA Architects and Engineers, a full-service architecture, engineering and planning firm headquartered in Minneapolis.
Serving as senior associate and construction administrator, Bucher joins HGA with over 20 years of experience in producing and coordinating construction documents and project management. His portfolio spans a variety of building types such as healthcare, religious and civic. He has worked on numerous notable projects throughout his career, including the $6-million, 40,000-square-foot Folsom Health %26 Wellness Center in Folsom, Calif.; the $2.7-million, 14,900-square-foot Granite Springs Church in Lincoln, Calif.; and the $2.8-million, 10,500-square-foot Sugar Bowl Village Hall in Norden, Calif.
"Greg's multi-faceted experience in handling all construction administration and management phases of a project adds further depth to our Sacramento office," said William L. Duckworth, AIA, principal in the firm's Sacramento office.
Prior to joining HGA, Bucher served as senior project manager for Sierra View Company, Inc. in Roseville, Calif. Additional experience includes serving as project manager for Eric F. Anderson Construction. Bucher studied architecture at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif., and is a registered architect in the state of California.
As associate and project manager, Ho joins HGA with over 10 years of architecture experience for healthcare, higher education and government facilities. Ho has worked on numerous notable projects, including the 88,500-square-foot Bed Tower-Acute Rehab expansion at Sutter Roseville Medical Center in Roseville, Calif., which is part of a $100-million master plan; the 53,000-square-foot Green Music Center for Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, Calif.; 30,000 square feet of office space for Lathrop City Hall, valued at $7 million; the $13-million, 66,000-square-foot Mathematical Sciences Building at University of California, Davis (UC Davis); and the $5-million, 19,200-square-foot Watershed Science Research Center at UC Davis.
"Teague's knowledge in building codes, along with his strong project coordination and management skills will undoubtedly expand our Sacramento practice," said Duckworth.
Prior to joining HGA, Ho served as production coordinator for AC Martin Partners in Sacramento. Other previous positions include serving as job captain for Hill Glazier Architects and as a drafter and job captain for MBH Architects. In 1994, Ho received his bachelor's degree in architecture from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, Calif.
