HGA Architects and Engineers Promotes Tony Wang to Associate

Los Angeles, CA - Yu-Hsiang "Tony" Wang, AIA, LEED AP, has been promoted to associate of HGA Architects and Engineers (HGA). With more than 10 years of experience, Wang is responsible for converting architects' ideas and sketches into three-dimensional renderings, floor plans and other detailed drawings. As a job captain, he also develops construction documents and assists in project administration. Wang is currently the job captain for the design of a major addition to Stanford University's Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. His previous healthcare project experience includes serving as project architect for the expansion of the cancer center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, serving as job captain for the seismic retrofit of building 203 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Francisco, working on designs for several departments at Glendale Memorial Hospital and assisting the design team on the trauma and surgery center at Methodist Hospital of Sacramento. In addition to his work with healthcare facilities, Wang has been part of the team for several education projects, including East Los Angeles College's new Math and Science Complex. Wang holds a master's degree in architecture from Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y., which he earned in 2000. He also received a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering from China College of Industrial and Commercial Management, located in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1989. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
