H2O+ Beauty

Beauty Company's Makeover Reflects Refreshed Business Strategy

In an effort to focus more on the marketing and sales of its skincare products and less on manufacturing, beauty company H20+ Beauty decided to relocate their headquarters from Chicago to San Francisco. The company chose a 9,000-SF location and wanted the design of their new space to reflect this significant shift in their business model.

After meeting with H20+ Beauty, learning about their goals, and seeing their new space located in a penthouse on the top floor of a historic building, it was clear to us that the integrity of the original building should be preserved. Our design intent was to incorporate the existing moldings and architectural aesthetic, while creating an environment conducive to their business.

To meet the needs of the company’s new business goals, a variety of client entertainment spaces, such as the sofa seating area, were designed to allow for buyers and clients to come in and see products on display. It was important to H20+ Beauty to have a comfortable, home-like space for their employees, so we incorporated informal seating areas, a large, open kitchen with bar, table and booth seating into the space while still keeping the office professional and effective.

Our team also designed the space to accommodate a range of diverse workspaces, including open workstations, standing-height workspaces, collaborative areas, and a variety of small and large conference rooms, in addition to spaces for visiting employees to work. A carefully chosen palette of ocean color tones visually represent the brand, resulting in a fresh, clean, and sophisticated ambience.
